About the Client & Home
The client was a referral to our team members Emir Dickson and Karla Wardle, who had worked with the client’s sister a few months earlier. The client had an older 2-bedroom condo in Liberty Village that had become outdated, and we wanted to ensure the home would fetch the top dollars that it was worth.
The Obstacle
We had to make a few improvements to the unit prior to selling it, but we didn’t have a lot of time. We arranged to paint the entire unit and then decided to overhaul the kitchen. We made the decision to paint the cupboards, change the counters for a stone counter, and replace the backsplash. Everything went very smoothly–except the backsplash.
The client had found their own person to do the backsplash. He got it done quickly but hadn’t noticed that the pattern of the backsplash had gotten much darker as he put it in. It looked absolutely awful when he was done.
The Solution
The client called us crying, so we had our handyman go in, rip it all out, and redo the entire backsplash–all in the nick of time!
The Outcome
In the end, the condo looked amazing! As a result, it sold very quickly and in-line with the unit our client had bought.
It’s all about using vetted, trusted services and knowing who to hire to complete the work. Our team has developed very good relationships with handymen, contractors, painters, and more, which helps when we are getting a house ready to sell.
Only true experience and real service can provide great results. Work with someone you trust who will get the job done right, from the very beginning to the very end.
