First Quarter Market News

Market Highlights

As expected, 2019 is off to a slow start across all local real estate markets. Within the City of Toronto, the average detached home price decreased slightly in the first quarter of 2019, while the other three major categories, semi-detached, condo townhouses and condo apartments, all experienced small price gains.

The spring market is here and things are….slow. We are watching market indicators closely to get some indication of what to expect as the year progresses. In the short term, we anticipate that interest rates will remain constant, so as not to further dampen activity. In this market, pricing, strategy and positioning is more important than ever!

If you’re not sure of the market conditions in your neighbourhood, please call, text or send a message. We would love to provide you with detailed information tailored to your home, and help you to take advantage of opportunities in the current market.
