The area is named after High Park, a 161 hectare park k, a 400-acre green space that is a huge draw for people from all over.  High Park was opened to the public in 1876 and given over to the City of Toronto by John George Howard, an Architect, Engineer & land Surveyor.  His conditions were that the city hold the park for the free use, benefit and enjoyment of the Citizens of Toronto forever and to keep its name as High Park.
BOUNDARY
This pocket is bordered by Bloor Street (to the south), Keel Street (to the east), Dundas St. W (to the north), and Runnymede Road (to the west).
HOUSING
